I’m not that young any more, which means that 3 nights of drinking is pretty hard going. So although it was a beautiful day today, the only sun I saw was the reflection on my walls in my flat. Most of this afternoon has been spent with my feet up on the sofa internetting. Today’s topic has been adventure researching. Yes, that is a map of the USA…
The annual Zambia reunion (sadly minus the flakey Ciaran who screwed his dates up) took place today. No selfie sticks were used in the making of this picture.
I was actually trying to lay across everyone as they said that would make a good picture, but I decided this one was actually better.
Enjoy every bit of time I spend with this guy. Even if he does take the piss out of my Batman joggers. I first met Bateman on the school bus but we didn’t really speak back then and went to different schools. Then I knew him at work, and now over the last couple of years we’ve become actual friends.
Childish sense of humour over the door at Jamie’s Italian in Cheltenham.
Today was also supposed to be a day of Fitness. In the form of Boxercise at the gym in Cov. However this turned into steak, red wine, ice cream, pyjamas and film night. Much more sensible idea.
Today was a day for Fitness. Today that was in the form of BMF then squash with Stav. I’m not competitive at sports, which is a good job as he totally thrashed me.
Working from home is great. For many reasons. Today’s reason is that I can make a fresh salad right before I eat it, not the night before so it goes all soggy. Yes, I am aware this is quite dull but hey, I quite like food. And I quite like eating. And it’s a bit rare that I actually have this much food in my house to be able to make what was really quite a top salad. And there’s not a lot more I’ve done today apart from go out for cake at lunchtime (salad + cake = balance) and I’m going to go for a run and then to the gym tonight. These activities are probably equally as
interesting dull to most people, ha! Maybe I should be more like 2012 and post more meaningful pictures that relate to some deep and meaningful thoughts I’ve been having but I’ve not really been having any.
Well, not that I want to tell the world about right now. Maybe I’ll save those for a really dull day.
Nothing better than getting your tea cooked for you, especially on a Sunday because this means it’s a Sunday roast. With mega roast potatoes. Finally – someone else who doesn’t like their roasties crispy. Thank you 🙂
One night out and we’re all knackered. A sign of old age. So we reverted to the good old days and had a night in watching Saturday night TV, eating takeaway, plaiting each others hair (in my case on Laura, extremely badly) and discovering the miracle properties of coconut oil.
This weekend saw visitors from The Shire (Lincolnshire) in the form of Laura and Holly. Ditching the husbands and kids for the weekend they braved the motorway boredom on a Friday afternoon to come see me and have a night on the Cheltenham tiles. Before heading out to help break my Dry February spell there was a quick facetime to say night to the kiddywinks back home.
